I was in Palma, Mallorca with friends last weekend. We rented a flat in the old town and spent a lot of time on the terrace in the sun. I brought my Kalinka yarn that I bought at Syfestivalen to be my summer knitting. With 2,5 mm needles it is slow but straight forward.
Looking at the result for a weekend and I also finished a book. It was lovely to have so much time for myself.
An attempt to share my feelings for yarn, knitting and other sensations in my life.

Birthday gift for myself
1) I just moved all my yarn and have plenty to knit.
2) Limited time to do anything for myself
3) I do not know how to spin.
Anyway:
I just got this for myself as a birthday present.
It's made in Sweden and only a few years old.
Now I need to figure out how to use it.
Any advices are mostly welcome.

Moving in
My stash is open. I have moved from IKEA Expedit and boxes to this!Having kept it hidden earlier, members of my family stated "Mom, you have a lot of yarn". This is so very true.
I hope that I will feel inspired and not pressured every time I see this.
I also hope that the rest of the family will not notice if I happen to add some skeins to the stash in the future.

Birthday party for my 8 year old and home made bags for marbles (and candy)
Friday we had a birthday party for my 8-year old and 10 of her friends. Pizza, cake and at the end movie & pop corn.We started after school and they got to select fabric and then I sew each one a bag that they decorated with textile pens.
Fun, unique, healthy, and kind to the environment.
They made their own candy bag! But I only gave them little candy and gave them marbles to play with at school.

Syfestival Spring 2015
I spend a day at Syfestivalen and finally decided the color combination for my "sweater to be" in Kalinka. I have been looking at this for several years, always having difficulty deciding between all the nice colors. I'm also tempted to by the Kalinka 21, but I'll wait for another color to come and (and also to complete) this sweater. The plan is to have this as a vacation knitting.
Apart from needles, buttons, a book, case handles I also brought home yarn to a shawl and gift from Sticka.

Lovikka mittens, January FO
They were a quick knit, at least until the thumbs (as always). They were my IFO projects for January. I have now completed the thumbs, I even managed to do some embroidery with sparkling thread (Candy from Svarta fåret). The lovikka yarn is from Järbo with some left overs from my stash. I have learnt that there is a difference also between lovikka yarns. This was more scratchy compared to the earlier I have.
I just hope that he kids are happy and will use them.
